Dilatation Waterproofing
Dilatation waterproofing is the method applied to cover the joint gaps in buildings. There are gaps left lengthwise in the constructed buildings and these gaps are the result of calculations made in terms of engineering. The reason for the gaps are sitting and expansion, earthquake, vibration and movements. Dilatation waterproofing is made in order to isolate the spaces made from water and other effects in order not to be damaged by the movements of the building over time. Our company realizes this application with professional workmanship and quality materials. These insulations must be made in a vertical direction from the foundation of the building to the roof. The fact that these spaces, which are exposed to all kinds of effects, especially the wind, are not insulated due to the fact that they are in the whole building, cause the experienced factors to damage the building. Our company prevents the building from being damaged by the technique it applies.
Use of
When dilating waterproofing, first of all, the dilatation opening should be cleaned. The building has an opening every thirty meters and the openings are around five or six centimeters. While cleaning the opening, polyurethane material called wick should be placed first. After this process, epoxy based sealant or bitumen based double component fillings should be applied. Joint tapes with a width of approximately twenty centimeters should be placed after the completion of this process. Epoxy should be applied to both parts of the opening, the dilatation tape should be glued to the epoxy, and the ends should be covered with epoxy. In this way, the application is completed. After completion of these procedures, the dilatation strip should be used. Slats are of different types and are designed for every need. In the process to be applied to Semeni, if there will be heavy traffic, a solid dilatation bar should be placed.
Dilatation openings on the terrace floors are among the most troublesome. Because these places must be resistant to both walking and the effects of the sun. Much more attention should be paid to dilatation waterproofing applications in these areas. Dilation work can be done both from inside and outside. In projects completed, internal dilatation is generally performed. Special tapes have been developed for this application and these tapes are attached to the dilatation edges with epoxy adhesive. During application, the surface must be dehumidified. External applications are made in buildings under construction. This is the most correct application. Our company has technical equipment and expert personnel to perform dilatation water isolation for all types of buildings.
